Lets take a closer look |

Lets look at the 1000ASW board, it is 100 x
180 x 40mm overall ( 4" x 7.2" x 1.6" high) , it is powered by 115V AC
or 230V AC, it has a balanced input connector and a volume control
connector, it has an expansion header for an active crossover +
equalizer, it has a Channel-link connector where you can use 1 crossover
card for 2 amplifier modules (like D1000ASW and a D250A).
It has a clock-link connector where you can sync 2 or more modules together for perfect clock sync , avoiding the beating common for self-oscillating amplifiers (they normally recommend that you skip the self-osc when you use 2 or more channels ;) The output stage is a high power full-bridge design with high power fets driven by a fast high-current driver, the amplifier is a clock based design with a high precision clock. The clock can clock other channels in a multichannel setup and the power supply has a DC output connector to power 1-2 CAD 250A board. (or an additional D1000A board). The PWM signal is made in our proprietary PWM processor using discrete components and we use overall feedback after the output filter as this gives very good audio performance. EMI and RFI is very good indeed and power output is 1000W into 4 ohms and the amplifier is completely stable and has no problems driving 2 ohms. The amplifier has a number of protection circuits including a peak limiter, an over current shutdown circuit, an undervoltage / soft start circuit, an overtemp. shutdown circuit etc. |

We have a new series of 2-CH amplifier
boards with on-board SMPS
D200S-ASW – 2X200W/4 ohms or 400W/8 ohms D300S-ASW – 2x300W/4 ohms or 600W/8 ohms D400S-ASW – 2x400W/4 ohms or 800W/8 ohms D600S-ASW – 2x600W/4 ohms or 1200W/8 ohms All these modules are built on a backplate with integrated heatsink making them ideal for active speakers and very easy to use and install. They can of course be used for bi-amping (using the 2-ch mode of operation) or for higher power mono amplification. All modules are full range (20Hz – 20 kHz), specs and audio quality is again very good. |
